Contro Terms and Conditions

These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern your use of Contro’s services, including our website, mobile application, and the Contro crypto-to-fiat payment card. By accessing or using any part of our services, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

If you do not agree, please do not use Contro.

1. Definitions
  • “Contro” refers to the brand and platform operated by [insert legal entity name].

  • “User”, “you”, or “your” means an individual who has registered for and uses Contro’s services.

  • “Card” refers to the Contro Visa card linked to your account, enabling fiat payments via crypto-backed collateral.

  • “Digital Assets” means cryptocurrencies or tokens accepted by Contro for collateral.

  • “Fiat Currency” refers to government-issued currency (e.g., USD, HKD, SGD).

2. Eligibility

To use Contro, you must:

  • Be at least 18 years old.

  • Successfully complete identity verification (KYC) through our approved provider, Didit.

  • Agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy.

3. Services Provided

Contro provides the following:

  • A custodial wallet for managing supported digital assets.

  • Crypto-to-fiat conversion at the time of transaction.

  • A Visa card issued via our partners (Reap Technologies, Interlace), enabling fiat payments.

  • Real-time balance, transaction history, and collateral management via the Contro app.

4. Account Registration and KYC

To use our services, you must register and verify your identity. KYC is performed by Didit, and you authorize us to share your information with Visa, Reap Technologies, Interlace, or any other required parties for regulatory or service purposes.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that fail verification or are flagged for suspicious activity.

5. Use of the Card
  • Your Card allows you to spend against your collateralized crypto assets.

  • Transactions are settled in fiat and processed via the Visa network.

  • You agree not to use the Card for illegal, prohibited, or high-risk activities as defined by law or Visa’s rules.

  • Contro is not responsible for merchant acceptance or third-party payment failures.

6. Fees and Charges

You agree to pay applicable fees, which may include:

  • Card issuance and replacement fees.

  • Crypto conversion fees.

  • Network fees or third-party transaction charges.

7. Risk Disclosure
  • Digital assets are volatile and prices can fluctuate significantly.

  • You understand and accept the risks of using crypto to access fiat spending.

  • Contro does not provide investment, tax, or legal advice.

8. Data Privacy

We collect and process your data in accordance with our Privacy Policy, which explains how your personal data is used, stored, and shared. By using Contro, you consent to the processing of your information as described.

9. Suspension and Termination

Contro reserves the right to suspend or terminate your account and services at any time due to:

  • Breach of these Terms.

  • Regulatory or legal obligations.

  • Fraud, suspicious activity, or misuse of services.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the extent permitted by law, Contro and its partners are not liable for:

  • Indirect, incidental, or consequential damages.

  • Losses resulting from downtime, third-party services, or unauthorized use.

  • Loss of funds due to user negligence, system hacks, or market volatility.

11. Modifications

We may revise these Terms from time to time. Continued use of Contro after updates means you accept the new Terms. Material changes will be communicated via app or email.

12. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Hong Kong. Any disputes shall be resolved under the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in Hong Kong.
